There are actually 5 key elements in creating a foundation of success for your home business. Today we’re talking about one small piece of the full roadmap… Preparation. Click here to download the full Home Business Success Roadmap for free.

One of the biggest mistakes that most home businesses are making is that they are not making their home business a completely separate entity. That may sound confusing but basically what that means is that they are not using a business checking account or business credit card for their business transactions. Instead, they are running everything through their personal checking account and credit card.

This is most prevalent with home businesses that are a part of a bigger company. For example if you are a consultant with a company like Arbonne, Mary Kay, Color Street, Young Living,...

Hi guys! So I am here with Miss Kamryn today. We want to talk about how when you're momprenuer, your time is so precious. Especially when you're trying to grow a home business.

You want to make sure that you are as smart with your time as possible.

Because we want to spend our time with our kids. That's why we have a home business - to have more time with them and to make more money so that we can spend more time at home with them.

(Kamryn wants to say Hi real quick! -- HI!)

So for those of you that don't know me, I'm Jill Gockel. I'm a certified mom mentor. What that means is I help moms learn to be present with their kids while they're growing a home business or building a career. Set Your Priorities as a Momprenuer

Many moms who are working at a job or building a home business find it hard to balance business and family. Especially because the root of our reason for business/career is to provide for our family.

If you're not careful though, you'll find one area pushing the other out which leads to overwhelm.

My number one tip on balancing priorities is always in planning for success because failure to plan is a plan to fail.

We can only balance our time when we know where our time is supposed to be allocated.

So if you know that you have a block of time in the morning to do chores and a block of time in the afternoon to do business, then you're free to spend the time in between focused on your kids!

Without this plan, moms have a tendency to do to all things at once.

And do you know what that leads to? Dissatisfaction in everyone!

The kids feel neglected because you're working while playing. You feel frustrated because the kids are acting up while you're trying to do a time-sensitive business...

About a year ago, I was listening to a training from Mom Mastery University that was giving several strategies on how to tackle different types of paper clutter. Part of the process is understanding why we are keeping the papers.

For me, I was keeping every single receipt, statement, and payment stub for every single bill that was for my home business or personal expenses. I was afraid to throw anything away because what if I needed it at tax time or if I was ever audited. Using the tips from that training, I came up with a simple system that allowed me to cut pretty much 99% of the paper I was keeping for tax or business purposes!

So with this being tax season, how many of you are digging...

How to Have Fun Including Your Toddler in Cooking

My sweet Jaxson has been a difficult eater his entire life. The occupational therapists insisted over and over that including him in cooking would help his eating habits. My immediate thought?

How in the heck do you cook with a kid that's not even two yet?!

I procrastinated, made excuses, and did whatever I could to forget that suggestion. Except it kept getting suggested to me. So I finally gave in.

We started off slowly.

I'd do everything and then let my little cutie come and stir the pot. He of course loved it!

The twins are usually at my feet when I'm in the kitchen so it wasn't long before Jaxson would stand on my feet until I'd pick him up to let him get a little earlier start on the cooking.

We progressed to pouring in teaspoons of seasoning before it was time to stir. The pure joy on his face was precious!

I had never seen him interact with food like this before!

Pretty soon Jaxson would come running when he heard me starting to cook. He was getting old enough (now that...

How to Have Joy in the Midst of Chaos

Twin shenanigans... they’ve barricaded themselves in the bathroom! What are they flushing now?! I think they’re doing payback now that I’ve moved their potty chair to the bathroom instead of the living room!

Every day we have the choice whether to get angry with our kids being kids, or learn to laugh. This was a valuable skill that I learn inside Mom Mastery University. There was a time that I wouldn't have laughed about this. In fact I probably would've yelled and given time out. Then I would've felt like a horrible mom, beat myself up about how I acted and how I was ruining my kids.

Sound familiar?

Maybe some of you are in this spot too. If you are, my heart goes out to you! You are not alone! And you are not doomed to stay in this emotional place forever!

There is help out there for moms in a beautiful program called Mom Mastery University!

After learning so much from that program, I can see all the crazy stuff my kids do (especially the twins! wow, they have a...

How to Be Productive at Naptime Without Worrying About Making Noise

We’re moms, we have stuff to do! But it’s nap time & we’re afraid to make any noise!

What’s a girl to do?! Today I’m sharing how I’ve handled this with my twins & it works like a charm!

Sometimes as a moms, so much of the household duties fall on our shoulders. Unfortunately, when something pops up that takes a lot of our attention, we get so focused on that task that our house just kind of falls to the wayside and we end up in a giant mess.

The only time that we can really make some good headway on that is during nap time. Right? If you've got young kids, you know that nap time is the prime time because they're not following you around making a mess as you clean up.

That's the situation that I'm in today.

So I've been super, super focused lately....on you guys!

Because I'm working hard on a course for you called The Busy Mom's Guide to Taxes. (I've got everything shot, videos prepped, everything's ready except for the final touches...
